![]() ![]() Other places, the electronics are as quiet as a mouse, go figure. The electronics are pretty quiet, but in my house I must have "dirty" power, because at certain times of the night, it buzzes and moans like a Mexican made Fender, but with a more high pitched buzz. (I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for replicating both basses). It can also replicate a Jazz bass and a P bass fairly well. The LaBella Super Steps I use have a lot to do with the good tone I get from this bass. I do receive positive compliments on its sound from bass players and non-bass players. I would have bought a MusicMan had I known about them at the time I bought it. I would not recommend ANY Tobias product after this experience, unless it was a GENUINE Michael Tobias, pre-gibson bass. The Tobias Growler Bass Guitar is the most versatile one-pickup bass ever, you’ll get everything from killer slap to punchy Latin tones, and every sound in between. Bridge side treble 1/4 way up on bridge stack, neck side treble all the way down. The bridge tone switch is all the way down toward the ground, the other in the middle. For my tone, I turn the pickup pan to 3 o'clock, toward the bridge. This bass sat well in a bluesy rock and roll band I was in recently. I really like one sound of this bass in particular. ![]()
